BOOK COLLECTING – George Ivanoff

I love books! I love reading them. I love re-reading them. But I also like collecting them.

I do three types of book related collecting. Firstly, I collect books with author autographs. Anytime I meet an author, I get them to sign a copy of their book for me to add to my collection.

Signed books.

Secondly, with my favourite books, I collect different editions. Different editions will often have wildly different covers. I have three different versions of Lee Harding’s Displaced Person

The Tripod’s Trilogy is one of my all-time favourite reads. I’ve read these books many times over. And I have many different editions…

I also love collecting old books. The oldest one I own is a copy of Mark Twain’s A Yankee at the Court of King Arthur, which was published in 1908. I love holding it, knowing that it was printed over 110 years ago.

What’s the oldest book you own?

COMING SOON! My final blog post. Are you sick of me yet?
