Slippages
Firstdraft is partnering with WestWords to invite writers of all experience levels, generations, genders, abilities and approaches to expand their engagement with art through experimental writing practices.
We are asking writers to respond to the theme of Slippages in whatever way speaks to you. We encourage you to take risks, push the conventions of traditional mediums and embrace a critical approach to the written word.
We are doing a call out to commission 8 works, four from Western Sydney, four nationally, to create a written work that will fit an A2 dimension (420x594mm).
These works will initially be displayed at the Western Sydney Centre for Writing in Parramatta in an event on Friday November 22, before moving to Firstdraft Gallery in Woolloomooloo as part of their new exhibition opening on 6 Dec. Each successful applicant will receive $250.
